What can I expect at the Endless Arts Weekend?
At Endless Arts, you can expect to learn a new creative skill and gain knowledge about a specific art form. You will be spending time with an interesting group of people of different ages who come together to form a community for a weekend of creative pleasure. This year, we are offering seven workshops in various art forms. There are two one-day; four two-day; and one three-day workshops. Each day there is at least one opportunity for the full group to gather for a meal or group activity outside of class hours. On Saturday night there will be a Storytelling Showcase featuring participants from the Storytelling Workshop. The weekend will conclude with an art exhibition of participants' work and readings by the Writing Workshop participants.

How many hours of instruction are included in the program fee?
The answer depends on the workshop.
Writing Technique meets for nine hours over three days (1pm-4pm on Thursday, and 9am-12pm on Friday and Saturday). The instructor will also use Friday and Saturday afternoons from 1pm-3pm for additional instruction and one-on-one meetings, and will give you time to complete writing assignments on your own as the class requires.
iPhonography, Watercolor Painting, Image Transfer and Encaustic, and Docu-Fiction meet for a total of 12 hours on Friday and Saturday between 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
Out Loud Storytelling and Natural Eco-Printing are both one-day workshops that will meet from 9am-4pm on Saturday with a short break for lunch. (To maximize your class time, you are encouraged to bring your own lunch. Refrigeration is available). Storytellers will have an opportunity to tell their stories before a live audience on Saturday night.
What else is included in the program fee?
Fees include an opening dinner on Thursday evening, the storytelling showcase on Saturday night, and an Art Exhibition and continental breakfast on Sunday mornings with reading by Writers Workshop participants.
How many people are in each workshop?
Each workshop has a maximum of twelve people.
Will I need to bring materials?
Most of the materials will be provided, but some instructors ask that you bring certain items. Please look at your workshop description to see if materials are required. Some instructors may reach out to you in advance with suggestions that will help you get the most out of their workshop.
What does it cost?
The fee varies depending on number of workshop days, please refer to your specific workshop's description for more information. Some workshops also have an extra charge for materials. Fees also include an Opening Dinner, Saturday night Out Loud Storytelling Showcase, and a Sunday Art Exhibition with Continental Breakfast. We offer discounts of $25 for members of the Eagles Mere Friends of the Arts and other designated partners.

Do you offer scholarships?
At least four full scholarships will be offered this year. Priority will be given to people living in the Northern tier counties, including two scholarships that are reserved for high school students (must be rising juniors, seniors, or 2019 graduates), and at least two for adults. In 2018 we were delighted to award full or partial scholarships to participants from both in and outside the region. Scholarships will be awarded to people at different levels of experience, whom the Endless Arts Committee believes will benefit the most from participating. Applications must be received by August 15. Awardees will be notified by September 15.

What is your refund policy?
Written cancellation requests received on or before September 1 qualify for a full refund. Written cancellation requests received between September 2 - September 15 qualify for a 70% refund. No refund is available for cancellations received after September 15.
What are the lodging options?
You can reserve lodging at the Eagles Mere Inn (right in the town center) at a discounted rate of $109 per night (breakfast included) until August 30, space permitting, or at an inn in one of the nearby towns. Contact the inns directly for reservations.
Homes in Eagles Mere are available for rent for the weekend or longer through Robin Real Estate. This is an excellent option, especially for a group.
We provide a limited number of homestays for $50 per person per night, including breakfast.

What are the dining options in and around Eagles Mere?
The program fee includes the Thursday welcome and orientation dinner and Sunday morning continental breakfast.
Friday and Saturday nights we invite you to sign up to join a group dinner (pay on your own).
Breakfasts and lunches are available at the Eagles Mere Country Store daily and at the Sweet Shoppe (Saturday and Sunday only). There are several restaurants a short drive away and you can find more information about dining options here.
If you rent a cottage through Robin Realty you will have a kitchen in which to prepare your own meals.
Is it worthwhile to stay in Eagles Mere longer than the weekend?
Absolutely! We highly recommend that you come for an extra day or two or more. In the village of Eagles Mere, you can shop, dine, visit the Eagles Mere Museum, hike on Eagles Mere's 10-mile trail system, bike, and relax. Right outside Eagles Mere there is world class hiking, gorgeous scenery, and interesting small towns. Eagles Mere is in Sullivan County and part of the Endless Mountains region. How do I get to Eagles Mere?
Public transportation to Eagles Mere is not readily available so driving here is the best option. In some cases, we are able to match those who needed a ride with other participants.
The closest International airports are: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (~61 miles away), Syracuse Hancock International Airport (~120 miles away), Philadelphia International Airport (~127 miles away), Greater Rochester International Airport (~130 miles away), Newark International Airport (~135miles away), LaGuardia Airport (~148 miles away), Buffalo Niagara International Airport (~153 miles away), Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshal Airport (~155 miles away), and JFK International Airport (~160 miles away).
Do I need a car in Eagles Mere?
You won’t need a car in Eagles Mere because everything in town is easily walkable.
We can arrange for rides to the Friday night hosted dinner, if needed. Just ask us!
What is the weather like in Eagles Mere?
Eagles Mere weather can be unpredictable, so it is wise to be prepared for all types of weather. The historical average for October is 65/54 to 53/43 degrees so jackets, sweaters, warm clothes, and hiking boots are in order. Casual, comfortable clothes are all that is necessary. We recommend that you check the weather forecast before you come. We are on a mountain top and that can mean variable weather throughout the weekend.
